A lakefront sculptural trail
New to Lake Macquarie in 2018 is Creative LAKE, an eclectic collection of contemporary artworks positioned around the Lake in popular foreshore locations from Speers Point to Eleebana.
Artists include Guan Wei, Guy Maestri, Alex Seton, Naidee Changmoh and Antone Bruinsma. These artists not only represent what is exceptional about Australian contemporary art today, but also include artists that work in media and themes that are new to the Hunter.
Creative LAKE allows you to discover public art in the most surprising of places, from contemporary sculptures to conceptual installations and 3D murals. Each work reflects the beauty of the Lake and is different to any other experience in the Hunter.
Sculptures are located around the Lake at Speers Point, Warners Bay and Eleebana foreshores. You can walk, bike and even rollerblade between the sites via the Warners Bay Foreshore Shared Pathway, or drive between them with on and some off-street parking available.
